TWSC LECTURE: Local Knowledges and Sense-Making of Natural Disasters

“A Tradition of Resilience, The Resiliency of Tradition: Local Knowledges and Sense-Making of Natural Disasters” is the second lecture of the 2014 UP TWSC Public Lecture Series on Natural Disasters. This lecture was held on 25 September 2014 (Thursday), from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Room 400 Palma Hall, University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City.

This lecture featured Dr. Soledad Natalia Dalisay, Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Anthropology, College of Social Sciences and Philosophy (CSSP), University of the Philippines-Diliman. The reactors to Dr. Dalisay’s lecture were Dr. Jake Rom Cadag, Assistant Professor in the CSSP Department of Geography, and Dr. Emmanuel Luna, Professor and Director of the Doctor in Social Development Program of the College of Social Work and Community Development in UP Diliman.
